Why visit Warsaw?

When should I visit?

End of March, April and October are nice times to visit Warsaw as the weather is warm but there are less tourists and hotel rates may be cheaper.

Must-sees?

The Chopin Museum should start any tour as Warsaw was Frédéric Chopin's home city: learn about his life, which includes displays showing his school books as well as his last ever piano . Meander around the Old Town and make sure you take phots of Sigismund’s Column and The Presidential Practice. Take an organised tour of The Royal Castle which has many a story to tell and look out for the white lady who is said to haunt the coridors. Also noteworthy is The Keret House which is the wol;d's narrowest house ... it has to be seen to be believed!

Local traditions?

The Warsaw Carnival takes place 40 days before Lent with dancing, music and there is a festival feel. Events take place throughout the city and accmulates on Ash Wednesday.
