Why visit Singapore?

Those into horticulture will love Singapore for the futuristic Gardens By the Bay of Bay South and Bay East. This is a serene contrast to the bustling city and many skyscrapers and spans 101 hectates of land in the Central Region of Singapore. Take in super trees, awesome floral displays and beautiful blossoms. Learn about the future plans for the garden and how they will be integrated into the city as a whole.

When should I visit?

Singapore remains warm all year round, but visiting between February and April is a good choice as it tends to be the dry season.

Must-sees?

Merlion Park is iconic thanks to the stone lion's head and the body of a fish which jets out water and is a mascot for Singapore. Take a boat journey along the waterways and see the different cultural areas; wander Little India and Chinatown and get awesome views of the city from The Singapore Flyer ferris wheel. Make sure you give yourself time to enjoy it - it takes around 60 minutes to do one cycle!

Local traditions?

Try out a Singapore Sling cocktail during a visit to Raffles Hotel. It is believed to have been designed before 1915 by Ngiam Tong Boo who worked in the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel and has become popular ever since.
