What are the must-dos during a trip to Vienna?
This is the perfect city for you to spend time with your other half. Why not saunter through the city centre to marvel at street architecture, beautiful statues and people-watch from afar sat at a cafe with outdoor heaters?. Make sure you take a horse drawn carriage around the city. Pick one up for as little as 55 euros for a 20 minute ride from outside St Stephen’s Cathedral. Once dropped off, you must pop inside to see the stunning beauty of the cathedral itself - could it be a wedding venue? And why not not buy each other a present from one of the many shops on Austria’s most famous shopping promenade, Kärntner Street? Lined with every brand out there you will no doubt get some fab gifts. Once the sightseeing is done enjoy a lazy lunch at The Sky Bar (the goulash is fab!) located on the same street, whilst taking in the amazing view across the city skyline. Be warned! You may find yourselves having to stretch that credit card balance even further as you venture up to the bar, as it is located on the top floor of the Steffl department store. And once here, even if you are single, you will fall in love with this city. The views are stunning - so-much so you will come back again and again. Don't forget to order the goulash it's fab, and will inspire you to visit neighbouring Budapest.
