Why visit Nice?

Glitz, glam and surprises along The Promenade des Anglais. One aspect of Nice which is often missed is the oppulance behind the hotel facades located on this famous street. So make sure you pop in and take a look. Two notable ones are West End Hotel and The Negressco Hotel.

When should I visit?

Nice can be very expensive, so visiting between September and end of October when hotel prices are lower is a good choice. The weather remains warm between 20 and 25 degrees C.

Must-sees?

The hustle and bustle of The Promenade des Anglais is a must. The beach bars have four poster curtained sun beds which lookout on the Mediterranean.A reat for people watching, and with Nice Airport so close to the city centre you can plane-spot to your hearts content. Parc Phoenix is located near the Airport and is a definite highlight of a trip here. Just minutes away from the city centre are lemurs, wallabies and parrots to name a few. With Nice being so close, a break here cannot include a trip to Monaco. Taking the train is cheaper than a taxi - so even though the driver picking you up from the Airport will offer to take you, go by public transport! For the train, it takes 20 minutes and costs around 4 Euro.
