Why visit Geneva?

Skiing! Chamonix, Flaine, Avoriaz, Les Contamines and La Clusaz are all within easy reach of Geneva Airport. If you also want to embrace the wintery sitting, with perfect ski conditions, La Tout is reputably the snowiest village in France. The Resort also offers a good start for beginners, with some of the best nursery slopes in the area. For more challenging slopes visit Les 4 Vallées and for those seeking more adventure Chamonix provides access to Evasion Mont-Blanc.

When should I visit?

Geveva is the city that embraces winter and summer. December to April are excellent choices for good snow and you may get some cheap hotel rates. For a city break May or late September is fantastic as you will get warm weather and lower hotel rates.

Must-sees?

Cruise across Lake Geneva to see the Jet d'Eau, fountain located at its heart; take in the Palais de Nations; ride the Golden Pass line along one of the world's most beautiful railways; wander the cobbled streets of The Old Town and climb the 157 steps of Cathédrale Saint-Pierre's North Tower for fantastic views across the city and beyond.
